The opening ceremony of the 20th Mighty Ax Nationals at North Central Speedway featured seven rows of race cars displaying the American and Marine flags in honor of the 13 service members who were killed in the Kabul, Afghanistan, bombing.

There were 13 service members killed and not all were Marines.
