Community leaders will discuss general aviation and rural airports’ role in economic development, job recovery and emergency response during an event Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport.
The event, hosted by General Aviation Advancing America from 9-10 a.m., will also highlight the critical role of the airport and its tenant businesses in assisting throughout the coronavirus pandemic, during recovery and beyond.
Speakers include Timothy Obitts, president and CEO of National Air Transportation Association; Ryan Waguespack, senior vice president of National Air Transportation; and Steve Wright, Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport director.
Airport commission members may be present at the event.
