During the height of morning rush hour this morning, Minnesota Lt. Gov. Tina Smith is hosting a news conference on the American Boulevard Overpass overlooking the Interstate-35W and Interstate 494 interchange.
Smith will outline Gov. Mark Dayton's proposal to relieve traffic congestion at the interchange, which is considered the 17th-worst bottleneck in the country.
Local mayors, business leaders and Commissioner Charlie Zelle, Minnesota Department of Transportation, are expected to attend.
