Brainerd City Engineer Jeff Hulsether said Thursday afternoon it was unlikely paving would be completed on a short segment of Jackson Street in west Brainerd on Thursday. The road was torn up so extensions could be made for water and sanitary sewer lines for the Essentia Health Sports Center. He said he hopes the paving will be done later this week.
Hulsether said Thursday morning that part of Jackson was barricaded but the detour signs would come down as soon as paving is completed. The road project is on Jackson Street between Grab-A-Java and the sports center. Grab-A-Java is open for business throughout the construction.
