Community members are invited to attend a guest lecture by Jon Wefald, president emeritus of Kansas State University, at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at Central Lakes College.
Wefald will speak to the students in instructor Steve Wenzel’s international relations class about Operation Barbarossa, which was the German invasion of the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941.
Wefald is considered a national expert on the German-Soviet War and its impact on the outcome of World War II. He received his doctorate degree from the University of Michigan and previously served as chancellor of the Minnesota State system prior to his presidency at Kansas State University.
The presentation will be in room C236 on CLC’s Brainerd campus.
