A court hearing was canceled Monday and a jury trial was scheduled for the Brainerd man who stands accused of shooting two people on Jan. 4, 2015, at a Juniper Street apartment in Brainerd.
The jury trial for Tyler Allan Cronquist, 24, has been scheduled for 9 a.m. June 20 in Crow Wing County District Court, according to state court records.
Crow Wing County Attorney Don Ryan said the prosecution was anticipating a motion to be brought forward Monday by the defendant's attorney. However, no motions were filed and the hearing was canceled.
Calls were made to Cronquist's attorney-Gregory B. Davis, a public defender-but he was unavailable for comment.
In January during a contested hearing, Davis requested a change of venue for Cronquist in front of Judge Richard A. Zimmerman. A change of venue involves moving a trial to a different location than where the case was first brought before a court. To date, there has not been any information released regarding the request.

Cronquist was indicted in February of 2015 on first-degree murder with premeditation and attempted first-degree murder with premeditation. Nathan David Becker, 27, Brainerd, was indicted with aiding and abetting Cronquist. Becker's trial was to begin in September, but his attorney filed a Rule 20, which determines if a defendant is mentally ill and/or competent to stand trial. A review hearing is scheduled for Becker for 1 p.m., March 29, in front of Judge David Ten Eyck.
The shootings took place shortly after 5 p.m., Jan. 4, 2015, at an apartment on the 800 block of Juniper Street in Brainerd.
The victims were Joseph Kroll and Chelsey Crawford, both of Brainerd. The victims were airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where Kroll died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head. Crawford, who also suffered a gunshot wound to the head, underwent surgery for her injuries and survived.
Cronquist and Becker fled the scene and law enforcement conducted a search to locate them.
Becker was taken into custody after police located him in a vehicle later that night outside the SuperAmerica Station on South Sixth Street in Brainerd. An hour later, Cronquist turned himself in to police.
