Rep. Ron Kresha, R-Little Falls, was appointed to the School Finance Working Group.
Kresha has years of experience on House education committees, most recently as the Republican Lead on the House Education Finance Division, and is also a former high school English teacher.
“As a former teacher, I know firsthand the impact that finance decisions have in our classrooms,” Kresha stated in a news release. “I look forward to working hard to have a positive impact on Minnesota’s students and schools. I am glad to have this opportunity to work with the other members of the working group to improve education in Minnesota.”
Among other duties, the School Finance Working Group will address education funding issues, review funding streams and identify options for reform. The group is facilitated by the Minnesota Department of Education.
