LITTLE FALLS- Rep. Ron Kresha, R-Little Falls, on Thursday congratulated the winners of the 2015 Farm Family of the Year award winners for the counties in his district.
"Family farms and the agriculture industry play such an important role here in Minnesota, employing thousands of workers, putting food on our table, producing fuel for our cars, and more," Kresha said in a news release. "I'm grateful we have family farms like these operating and doing the important work they do in our community, and am glad to see them being recognized at Farmfest."
The families are:
Todd County: Hollermann Family Dairy Farm.
Morrison County: Monarch Suffolks; Greg and Patricia Cox.

Kresha is preparing House resolutions for each of the families to recognize their award.
The Farm Family Recognition Program is coordinated by the University of Minnesota Extension; the College of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Sciences; and the College of Veterinary Medicine and recognizes families from Minnesota's 87 counties who have made significant contributions to Minnesota agriculture and their communities. The 2015 Farm Family Recognition Program took place Thursday at Farmfest.
