PEQUOT LAKES -- The Lakes Area Food Shelf is expanding its hours as a test through December.
The Food Shelf will now be open 5-7 p.m. every other Thursday. It will be open Thursday, Sept. 19, and Oct. 3, and it’s located on the property of Grace United Methodist Church, 29316 Old 371/Patriot Ave., Pequot Lakes.
The Lakes Area Food Shelf serves clients in Pequot Lakes, Nisswa, Lakeshore, Jenkins and Breezy Point.
It is a member of Second Harvest Food Banks and Feed America.
