Law enforcement officers from the Brainerd Police Department and the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office were out in force Thursday afternoon in northeast Brainerd, with officers from both agencies blocking off intersections and congregating at residences near H and I streets between Sixth Avenue Northeast and Seventh Avenue Northeast.
The nature of the police response in northeast Brainerd wasn't immediately known. Calls to both the Brainerd Police Department and Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office seeking more information have not been returned.
