The Brainerd Public Library will host a class on "Wet-Felted Beads" from 2-3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 8 at the library. Guest instructor Lisa Jordan will demonstrate wet felting.
Wet-felting is the process of making a seamless piece of felt using fluffy wool fibers, soapy water, and friction. In this class attendees will combine these materials and methods to create colorful wool beads that can be used in a myriad of ways.
Lisa Jordan is the director of The Crossing Arts Alliance, an arts nonprofit in Brainerd.
She has been felting since 2006. She shares her work and approach to life on her blog, lilfishstudios.com.
Those who wish to participate in the free class will need to register by calling the library at 218-829-5574. Space is limited to 15 participants.
