Local scout Jenna Lee was awarded $300 as Girl Scout of the Year by the Brainerd VFW.
She went on to win first place in Minnesota’s sixth district.
Lee is the daughter of Daniel and Cathy Lee of Brainerd.
She has been in scouting since first grade and graduated from Brainerd High School this year. Lee is heading to Minnesota State University Moorhead to become an elementary school teacher.
