STEWARTVILLE - A Minnesota man is dead after his sedan hit a tractor-trailer on a rural state highway.
Derek R. Soltau, 23, of Leroy, was driving a Chevrolet Impala southbound on State Highway 63 when a semi-truck headed northbound lost control on the icy road and jackknifed into oncoming traffic. Soltau hit the semi and died on scene.
The driver of the semi, 58-year old Mario Salinas, of Arlington, Texas, was uninjured.
