A 28-year-old Level 3 predatory offender will move Monday from one part of the city of Brainerd to another, the Brainerd Police Department reported.

Jordan Michael Koloski, who was released from prison on Oct. 27, 2014, will move from the vicinity of Highway 210/Washington Street and Gillis Avenue to the vicinity of Maple Street and 11th Street Southeast in Brainerd.

Brainerd police will not be hosting a community notification meeting for Koloski, as police recently had one on him, where only one person attended. Police said Koloski is only moving a short distance from his previous location. Police are still conducting other notifications pursuant to state statute, with the media release and mailings.

Police report that Koloski is not wanted by the police and he has served the sentence imposed on him by the court. Information is available on the Minnesota Department of Corrections Level 3 website at www.doc.state.mn.us for more information.

Koloski's criminal history includes sexual contact with a 17-year-old female victim. Contact included penetration. Koloski took advantage of the victim's intoxicated and unconscious state and he was not known to the victim.

Koloski has lived in Brainerd in the past. Koloski is described as white, 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 186 pounds. He has blue eyes, red/auburn hair and medium build.

According to an unpublished Minnesota Court of Appeals opinion filed June 8, 2010, Koloski was convicted of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. The document states that on Nov. 1, 2007, a 17-year-old told a Brainerd Community Service officer that she had been sexually assaulted the preceding night. The victim told investigators she had consumed a large amount of alcohol on Halloween night and had become extremely intoxicated. She reported she "somehow" ended up in an apartment above a bar and she woke up to find a man, identified as Koloski, whom she did not know having sex with her.

Koloski stated he had been drinking with a group of friends and acquaintances on Halloween night. At about the time the bars closed, Koloski and his friends encountered the victim, who was in the back seat of a car.

According to Koloski, he and one of his friends helped the girl out of the car and assisted her to an apartment, which one of Koloski's friends had access to. Koloski went into the bedroom where the victim had been placed. Koloski admitted he took off her clothes and performed sexual acts with the girl, the court document said.

Koloski also acknowledged that he had not met the victim before that night and described her as "wasted" and "in and out of being passed out." Koloski further acknowledged that it was wrong to have sex with her when she was so intoxicated.
