Lifeguard training class scheduled

The Brainerd Family YMCA is holding a Red Cross Lifeguard Training class. The course will meet Oct. 3, Oct. 4, Oct. 5, Oct.11 and Oct.12. A detailed informational flyer is online at brainerdlakesymca.org or interested persons may stop in at the YMCA. Participants must be 15 years of age by the first class. Upon completion of the course, participants will have gained general knowledge of lifeguarding and will be qualified to lifeguard at most facilities. Course includes CPR for Lifeguards, First Aid and AED Training. Cost including instructor manual is $225.00. Register soon, class size is limited. Registration deadline is Sept. 18.
