Girl Scout Troops from the Brainerd lakes area hosted a Cookie Creation Contest March 22 at the Westgate Mall in Brainerd/Baxter.
Six troops and three individual Girl Scouts brought samples of their cookie creations to be judged by Miss Junior Teen Minnesota Lydia Benson, Pastor Steve Benson and Pastry Chef Jacob Danielson.
Winners of the individual cookie categories were: Lemonade, Kirsten Schroer from Troop 395; Cranberry, Troop 701; Caramel DeLites, Laura Flategraff, from Troop 701; Peanut Butter Patty, Troop 643, Thin Mint, Alexis Schroer from Troop 599. Winning Most Creative was troop 701 with Leader Steph Hawkins; Best Presentation Troop 599 with Leader Susan Schroer; People Choice Award, Troop 643 with Leader Megan Bistodeau; and overall winner, Troop 701.
