The North Central Minnesota Small Business Development Center at Central Lakes College will host an open house from 4-6 p.m. March 22 at the CLC Brainerd campus.
The open house is part of SBDC Day, a nationwide recognition of the success and impact of the nation's Small Business Development Centers. These offices are in all 50 states and help nearly 200,000 clients annually with advice on starting and operating a small business. An additional 750,000 people received business training and other services through an SBDC center.
"We are fortunate to be part of the most comprehensive small business assistance network in the U.S.," said Greg Bergman, regional director of the North Central SBDC, in a news release. "Our national partnership helps support our local effort to assist small businesses in central Minnesota."
At the open house, attendees will learn more about SBDC services and how they have benefitted local small businesses. There will also be a seminar on understanding cyber-security for small businesses provided by CLC Customized Training from 3-4 p.m.
"This is a great opportunity for small business owners to learn about how cyber-security issues can impact their business," Bergman said. "We hope it will spur additional conversations on this important topic."
