GARRISON — A 72-year-old Garrison man was injured Monday, Nov. 14, in a rear-end collision on Highway 169 in Aitkin County.
The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash, reported at 6:12 a.m. in Hazelton Township, north of Garrison. According to the crash report, a 2001 Dodge Ram truck was northbound on the highway when a 1996 Chevrolet GMT 400 stopped to make a left turn, and was struck by the Dodge.
The driver of the Chevrolet, John Charles Lybeck, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin. The driver of the Dodge, Danny Mitchell Tucker, 16, and passengers Rocco Vann Olson, 17, and Jaxson Virgil Wendorf, 17, all of Zimmerman, suffered no reported injuries.
The state patrol reported the road was snow and ice covered at the time of the crash.
