With three business days left for the August candidate filing period, a plethora of uncontested races and seats for which no candidates have filed remain.
Those interested in a seat at the table in their local city, township or school district government have through 5 p.m. Aug. 16 to file.
All candidates must be eligible to vote in Minnesota, must have not filed for another office at the upcoming primary or general election, must be 21 years of age or older upon assuming office and must have maintained residence in their district for at least 30 days before the general election.
Visit candidates.sos.state.mn.us to view who’s filed thus far and to learn which seats are up for election.
