The Brainerd Lakes Area American Association of University Women branch canceled the Brain Buster Trivia Challenge which was set for 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd.
The rise in COVID-19 cases and concern about the potential to spread COVID-19 prompted the decision to cancel the event.
Brain Buster teams that registered have been notified of the cancellation.
The planning committee hopes to resume the Brain Buster Trivia Challenge in future years. For more information on the event, go to brainbustertrivia.org .
The Brain Buster is a fundraiser to support scholarships to Central Lakes College. Anyone who wishes to make a donation to support the AAUW scholarship fund can send the donation to AAUW Treasurer Coralee Fox, 20560 Carolyn Lane Brainerd, MN 56401-7045.
