OAK LAWN TOWNSHIP — A 37-year-old woman and a 12-year-old boy, both of Lester Prairie, were injured Monday, July 4, after a rear-end collision with a truck on Highway 18 in Crow Wing County.
The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash, reported at 1:01 p.m. in Oak Lawn Township, east of Brainerd. According to the report, a 2020 Jeep Cherokee was westbound on the highway when a westbound 2015 Chevrolet Silverado slowed down at Three Mile Road for stopped traffic. The Jeep rear-ended the Silverado.
The driver of the Jeep, Jenny Lynn Efta, and her passenger, Cayden Randall Efta, both suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. Pickup driver Joel Leroy Bremer, 53, and passenger Tessa Rose Richardson, 37, both of Mora, suffered no reported injuries.
The road was dry at the time.
Assisting at the scene was the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office.
