BRAINERD — A 91-year-old Fort Ripley Township woman was severely injured Thursday, Sept. 29, after she was bitten by a neighbor's dog on the 2100 block of Sleepy Hollow Road in Crow Wing County.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident, reported at 3:17 p.m. in Fort Ripley Township, south of Brainerd. According to the sheriff’s office, the woman was outside on her scooter trimming around the house and picking up sticks when she was bitten.
The woman suffered severe injuries to the upper-interior part of one of her arms and was flown to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale.
The German shepherd was previously deemed dangerous due to an incident in May of 2022.
The dog was later euthanized after the September incident.
