BRAINERD — A 23-year-old man was arrested at 10:33 p.m. Monday, June 13, by the Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division for a Cass County warrant for felony assault.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office arrested the man on the 500 block of Second Avenue in Brainerd after learning of his location. The sheriff’s office also learned the man was in possession of bulletproof vest.
In addition to the warrant, the man was arrested for possession of a firearm, committing a crime while in possession of a bulletproof vest and receiving stolen property.
The case remains under investigation, the sheriff’s office reported.
Assisting at the scene were the Cass County drug task force, Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Brainerd Police Department and Baxter Police Department.
