LITTLE FALLS — A 79-year-old Eagle Bend woman died in a Morrison County crash Tuesday, July 12.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported the woman was eastbound on Highway 27 in Pike Creek Township just west of Little Falls at 12:08 p.m. Tuesday. Logan Richard Klooster, 33, of Ankeny, Iowa, was westbound in his 2019 Jeep Compass at the same time, when his vehicle crossed the centerline and hit the woman’s 2016 Nissan Versa Note hatchback head-on.

Klooster was transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls for non-life-threatening injuries.

The woman, whose name was expected to be released Wednesday morning, died as a result of the crash.

The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
