Fire damages unoccupied house

BRAINERD — A home under construction started on fire Thursday, Feb. 24, on the 6800 block of Gould Gray Road in Unorganized Territory.

The Brainerd Fire Department was called to this fire at 5:47 a.m. No injuries were reported in the unoccupied structure fire. Over a dozen first responders assisted in extinguishing the fire.

Assisting at the scene was the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office and North Memorial Ambulance.

Other fire calls Thursday:

  • A call at 8:06 a.m. to the intersection of Barbeau Road and Highway 371 for a vehicle crash. Firefighters assisted at the scene.
