Fire department responds to cut gas line

When firefighters arrived, the utility company was on the scene.

Brainerd firefighters responded to a report of a cut gas line Wednesday, March 16.

The fire department was called at 11:24 a.m. to the 4000 block of Hartley Lake Road, north of Baxter. When firefighters arrived, the utility company was on the scene. Crews provided standby assistance.

Also Wednesday, the department was called at 4:03 p.m. to the Franklin Arts Center, 1001 Kingwood St., Brainerd, for a fire alarm. Upon investigation, it was determined to be a false alarm.
