Mille Lacs Lake ice on the move

Strong winds pushed the ice onto the southern shore of the lake Monday, May 1, 2023.

Lake Mille Lacs ice piles up. — With the strong northwest wind Sunday, Mille Lacs Lake ice began to pile up on the southern shore of the lake. The ice mountains were an attraction for motorists who stopped to take pictures Monday, May 1, 2023, by Rocky Reef Resort.
