Otto Bremer Trust awards 158 grants totaling $11 million

The Otto Bremer Trust has awarded $11,090,773 in grants and program-related investments as part of its most recent grantmaking cycle.

“The grant recipients are making a positive impact in their communities and we are impressed with the good work they do,” said Daniel C. Reardon, co-CEO and trustee, OBT, in a news release.

A list of grants awarded to local organizations include:

  • The Brainerd Baxter Youth Center, Brainerd, $30,000. For general operations to support at-risk youth as they gather, grow and develop into engaged community members.
  • Lakes Area Restorative Justice Project, Brainerd, $30,000. For general operations to provide an alternative to punitive criminal justice system for offenders ages 8-26.
  • Riverview Church, Pine River, $25,000. To provide personal development and community service opportunities to youth in Pine River.
  • Sexual Assault Services, Inc., Brainerd, $75,000. For general operations to provide support services for survivors of sexual assault and increase sexual violence prevention education and awareness in Crow Wing County.
