LASTRUP — An 11-year-old girl was injured Saturday, Feb. 5, after the snowmobile she was riding on lost control and hit a car on 225th Avenue in Morrison County.
The Morrison County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash, reported at 5:53 p.m., in Ripley Township, northwest of Lastrup. According to the report, 47-year-old Hanna Brandner of Pierz was driving a snowmobile on her property with her 11-year-old granddaughter on the machine with her.
The throttle stuck on the snowmobile, causing Brandner to lose control and hit a parked vehicle in the yard. Brandner and the 11-year-old girl were transported to CHI-St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls by Mayo Clinic Ambulance with unknown injuries.
Also assisting at the scene was the Pierz First Response Team.
