The end of an era: Lincoln school is torn down

The Lincoln building, which opened as an elementary school in 1938, was most recently used as an education center providing special education services for students with emotional and behavioral disorders.

Lincoln School is being demolished — Lincoln school, which has been an elementary school and the site of the original Brainerd Junior College, is demolished Tuesday, July 5, 2022. The razing of the school is part of the overall plan to create a parking lot across the street from the Brainerd High School.
