Crow Wing Energized will host a Brown Bag Lunch and Learn at noon Thursday on long-term health maintenance to be presented by Jessica Waytashek at the Brainerd Public Library.

The "Balance Your Thoughts for Long-term Health Maintenance" presentation will address the difficulties of maintaining a healthy lifestyle during holidays, vacations and special events. Strategies discussed for handling the special occasions include anticipating the event, avoiding or reducing stress, building in ways to be active and preparing for the personality and habits of friends and family. Participants examine their priorities during these times and think about ways to make time for a healthy lifestyle during special occasions. The monthly, hour-long lunch and learns are part of the Making Healthy Choices noon series that is a collaboration with Brainerd Public Library, area organizations and Crow Wing Energized, which is focused on various aspects of health and wellness in the community.
