CAMP RIPLEY- The Minnesota Military Museum recently received a $5,400 grant from Macy's Inc. to support a renovation of the Museum's Women in the Military exhibit.

The exhibit highlights the involvement of Women in the Military during the past 100 years and will allow the museum to renovate cabinets and update materials and information for the exhibit.

Macy's has a long-standing commitment to giving back to the communities where they work and live, the Minnesota Military Museum reported. Their contributions, leadership and volunteer efforts help to create strong communities in which business can flourish and their employees and customers can live and work well.

Nationwide, Macy's contributions in 2013 totaled more than $73 million from the company, from employees through workplace giving campaigns and from customers through our cause-related giving programs. In addition, Macy's associates gave more than 134,000 hours of their personal time in community service.

With this grant the new Women in the Military exhibit should be completed by May 1.
