BROOKLYN CENTER - A man who was shot in 2011 died exactly four years later as a result of medical complications stemming from the gunshot wound, the Hennepin County medical examiner said Saturday.
Kevin Alston, 25, was shot in the head Nov. 30, 2011. As a result of his injuries, he was moved to a group home in Brooklyn Center.
On Nov. 30, 2015, Alston died as a result of “delayed infectious complications” from the quadriplegia that resulted from his wounds.
Alston’s shooter has not been identified. The case remains under investigation by Minneapolis police.
