A 29-year-old Mounds View man faces criminal charges after an alleged altercation with a woman following dinner that began with her wanting a cigarette.

Aaron C. Page had his first appearance Wednesday, Dec. 19, in Crow Wing County District Court in Brainerd, where he faces two felonies of making terroristic threats and domestic assault and a gross misdemeanor charge for stalking with the intent to injure.

According to the statement of probable cause, Page and a woman known to him returned to a Breezy Point residence Tuesday after going out for dinner. After returning, the woman indicated she wanted to smoke a cigarette. This apparently bothered Page as he and the woman had just recently quit smoking together.

The woman stated Page went off and began throwing things around the house and became aggressive toward her. During the altercation Page also grabbed the woman by the left thigh and shoulder and pulled her off a bed onto the floor.

Page has two prior domestic violence-related convictions in the past 10 years.
