• On June 6, 2013, the teenager told investigators that he or she met with the man at a residence on Quince Street in Brainerd. The teenager met him through an online social networking site called Tagged about two months earlier. The two arranged to meet on Beech Street in Brainerd and the teen told Bryant that he or she was 18. They drove around a little bit and the teen performed oral sex.
• A few days later, the teen texted Bryant and said he or she was 15. Bryant freaked out and said the victim's mother would put him in jail.
• The two met on two other occasions after the text and sexual contact was performed both times.
• Investigators obtained Bryant's photo and learned from Little Falls Police Department that he was a fugitive from Georgia and was believed to be hiding out in Little Falls.
• Bryant was arrested by Morrison County Sheriff's Office on June 19, 2013, after leading law enforcement officers on a high-speed chase. Bryant was subsequently charged with fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle in Morrison County.
• On June 24, 2013, Brainerd officer obtained a recorded statement from Bryant in jail. Bryant said he was in Brainerd about two months earlier when he was at a trailer park at the end of Beech Street. He said he had a profile on Tagged, but he denied any relationships resulting from it. When the officer specifically asked him about the teenager, Bryant denied knowing the victim, and he also said he would still be in trouble even if it was consensual if a 15-year-old lied about being 18.
