A 35-year-old Backus man was transported to the hospital Monday morning after losing control of the vehicle he was driving and rolling it over several times on Crow Wing County Highway 4.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office responded to the rollover at 6:12 a.m. Monday. The sheriff's office reported Russell E. Hopkins was northbound on County Highway 4, just north of County Road 118. Hopkins told deputies he swerved to miss a deer and lost control of the vehicle.
Hopkins was transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center with unknown injuries.
