MINNEAPOLIS - The convict who bolted from a Minneapolis courtroom while the verdict was being read is back in custody.
Michael David Henderson, 25, of Richfield, was on trial in the Hennepin County Government Center when he scuffled with deputies and made his downtown Minneapolis escape about 3:15 p.m. Thursday.
Minneapolis police officers arrested Henderson without incident about 7 a.m. Friday in south Minneapolis, the Hennepin County sheriff’s office said.
According to the sheriff’s office, a tip helped lead to Henderson’s arrest after he was spotted sleeping in a car.
A sheriff’s office spokeswoman said no deputies were seriously injured in the scuffle.
