MAPLEWOOD - Police are investigating after two people were found dead inside a Maplewood motel on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers discovered the bodies of a man and woman about 2 p.m. after responding to a call from the Northernaire Motel, according to Maplewood Police Chief Paul Schnell.
Their causes of death remain under investigation, though Schnell said no obvious signs of foul play were discovered at the scene at 2441 W. Maplewood Drive.
“There was no immediate sign of shots fired or anything like that, but we don’t know enough at this stage in the game to say what happened,” Schnell said. “Hopefully we can get a better sense of that after a search warrant is executed.”
The names and ages of the pair were not immediately available.
