CUYUNA — Manna for Malawi was postponed until 2-6 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Woodtick Inn in Cuyuna.

The Johnny Holm Band will still perform to raise money for Malawian orphans, but other things have changed about this year's event.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, spaghetti, meatballs and refreshments won’t be served to reduce contact between people. And this year, things like the silent auction, raffles and giveaways will be done online.

Last year's event raised more than $45,000. The money raised by the organization helped to buy a tractor and truck for the Malawi Orphan Care Project farm. Money raised this year will go for the feeding program and education for orphan children.

Manna for Malawi supports the Malawi Orphan Care Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. For more information or to make a donation, visit www.malawiorphancareproject.org .
