“Two-Old-Fashioned Favorites: Peonies and Clematis” will be presented by Master Gardener Jennifer Knutson at noon Sept. 14 via Zoom.
According to a news release, the class description is as follows: “The peony is one of the most popular and showy of the garden perennials grown in Minnesota gardens. Clematis are bold and beautiful climbing plants.”
Information will be presented on the different types of peonies and clematis, how to care for
and some companion plants that combine well with them in a garden.

Free master gardener classes through the University of Minnesota Extension Crow Wing County master gardeners will take place through December. Monthly presentations facilitated by
certified U of M Extension Crow Wing County master gardeners will discuss subjects ranging from garden tools to gourds.
Master gardeners are University of Minnesota-trained volunteers whose job is to educate the public about a variety of horticulture subjects. The master gardener program educational effort is designed to enhance the public’s quality of life and to promote good stewardship of the environment.
