CAMP RIPLEY-A driver and passenger in a military Humvee were injured in a crash at 4:57 p.m. Thursday, northwest of Range Control, inside the Camp Ripley gates.
The Morrison County Sheriff 's Office reports Lauren Franken, 18, Hartford, S.D., was traveling southeast on Luzon Road in the military Humvee and Christopher Hamann, 29, South Shore, S.D., was traveling northwest on Luzon Road in a military supply truck. The Humvee veered into the other lane because of the dust and collided head on with the supply truck, the sheriff's office reported.
Franken and her passenger, Samantha Kasuske, 22, Watertown, S.D., were transported by Gold Cross Ambulance to St Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls with unknown injuries. Hamann was not injured.
The sheriff's office was assisted at the scene by Gold Cross Ambulance.
