In July, The Mini Page distributor who provides the content to the Dispatch made changes to the publication's format.

It is now only available in a broadsheet format instead of the multi-page insert so the Dispatch will fill the other side. Some longstanding items will no longer be a part of The Mini Page, but the Try 'n' Find word search puzzle and recipe area in the redesigned version, along with jokes and resources will remain. Brand-new items will include a rotating puzzle and an environmental tip or fact called Eco Note.

"This new version maintains the kid-friendly, newspaper look and feel of The Mini Page in a more contemporary treatment," said Lisa Tarry, managing editor, in a statement to the Dispatch about the change. "The Mini Page, originally created by Betty Debnam, is celebrating 45 years of educating, entertaining and enlightening readers of all ages. ... We hope that our exciting new design will extend the appeal of The Mini Page to students, teachers and families through our 50th anniversary and beyond."

The Mini Page is owned and distributed by Universal Uclick.
