Minnesota Mountain Bike Series Race, Cuyuna Crusher to bring hundreds of riders to area

CROSBY--More than 500 mountain bikers, their friends and families are expected in Crosby the weekend of Aug. 18-19 for the Fourth Annual Cuyuna Crusher Race sponsored by the Cuyuna Lakes Chamber and the Minnesota Mountain Bike Series.

CROSBY-More than 500 mountain bikers, their friends and families are expected in Crosby the weekend of Aug. 18-19 for the Fourth Annual Cuyuna Crusher Race sponsored by the Cuyuna Lakes Chamber and the Minnesota Mountain Bike Series.

On Saturday, Aug. 18, all are welcome to celebrate at the Cuyuna Crusher Happy Hour, located from 5-8 p.m. on Cross Avenue in front of the Spalding House. There will be live music by SOLO, and food provided by Maucieri's Bistro on Wheels throughout the evening.

The Minnesota Series Race takes place in the Mahnomen Unit of the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area on Sunday, Aug. 19. Registration begins at 8 a.m. There will be a shuttle available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to transport attendees to the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area.

The Cuyuna Crusher has received the Minnesota Mountain Bike Series 2015 and 2017 Race of the Year Awards. Five hundred Cuyuna Crusher racers voted on the recognition, rating the course and volunteer support of the event as outstanding.
