State Pageant Directors Vicki Randall and Bill Musel, who live in Baxter, are bringing the state pageant to Tornstrom Auditorium in Brainerd for the first time ever after seeing a growth in the pageant system. They said the state pageant was getting too big for the Twin Cities' theaters to host and they've always wanted to bring the state pageant to their hometown to Tornstrom Auditorium.
Randall and Musel also are the directors of the Brainerd United States Pageant. They started directing pageants in 2003 and began the Brainerd circuit nine years ago. They've been the state directors for the past three years.
