BALDWIN, WI - Two Minnesotans have been identified as the victim and suspect in an alleged homicide in northwest Wisconsin.
The victim, believed to be the suspect’s girlfriend, was Angel Linderman, 28, of Lake City, Minn.
Tanner Rix, 22, also of Lake City, is being held in the St. Croix County Jail on a $250,000 bond in connection with the homicide. Rix, who appeared in St. Croix County Circuit Court on Wednesday, also is being held on two felony warrants from Minnesota.
Shortly before noon Tuesday, a 911 caller stated that he needed help with a passenger in his car who had been shot. When police arrived at the scene 5 miles northeast of Baldwin, they found Rix outside of a car with Linderman’s body inside with a gunshot wound to the head. Rix was taken into custody.
