67-year-old man killed in snowmobile crash in west-central Minnesota

A 67-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene of a snowmobile crash, according to a news release from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.

LAKE ANDREW TOWNSHIP, Minn. — A 67-year-old man died at the scene of a snowmobile crash west of Lake Florida on Wednesday.

The name of the man is not being released at this time, according to a news release from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash was first reported around 2:43 p.m. Wednesday in the 12000 block of Second Street Northeast in Lake Andrew Township, according to the release.

Upon arrival, law enforcement located the 67-year-old man laying on the ground next to a 2023 Ski-Doo snowmobile. First responders performed life-saving measures before the man was declared deceased at the scene.

New London Fire and Ambulance, Spicer First Responders, the Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, Centra-Care Ambulance and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
