Update: Woman killed Saturday in west-central Minnesota crash

The head-on crash occurred on Minnesota 23.

PAYNESVILLE, Minn. — A Windom, Minn., woman is dead after a two-vehicle, head-on crash on Minnesota Highway 23 in Stearns County on Saturday morning.

Michael Lee LaFlex is accused of killing his daughter's boyfriend, 23-year-old Bryce Brogle.
"I don't know how all this is going to go down. There's no textbook to see how you arraign a former president of the United States in criminal court," Tacopina said.
Between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, Building Supply and Vanessa’s Place were broken into.

Lana Renae Tibodeau, 50, was driving a 2013 Toyota Sienna van eastbound on Minnesota 23, when it collided with a westbound 2010 Chevy Express cargo van driven by Manuel R. Guardado, 28, address unknown, near the intersection of Stearns County 123. Tibodeau died at the scene, while a passenger, a 15-year-old male, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital. Both were wearing their seat belts.

Guardado and two passengers in the cargo van, Jose Rafael Guardado, 25, address unknown, and Juan a Zuniga Perez, 26, address unknown, all sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the St. Cloud Hospital. The driver was wearing his seatbelt, but it is unknown if the passengers were.

The airbags deployed on both vehicles.

The crash was reported at 8:20 a.m., and road conditions were reported as wet by the Minnesota State Patrol.

Assisting at the scene were the Paynesville police and fire departments, Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, Chain of Lakes Fire Department and Centra Care Ambulance.
