A Mississippi River Run Sept 12 gives those looking to challenge themselves another option with multiple distances.
The family friendly event for the fall running season is set at Sauk Rapids Municipal Park.
"Take in the early fall colors along the Mississippi River and soak in the indian summer sun," organizers say. The event has a flat and scenic half-mile and a family friendly 5k or 10k. Those registering by Monday, Aug. 31, are guaranteed a shirt.
