MMFCU community shred day a success

For the 12th consecutive year, Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union hosted its annual free community shred day, resulting in 16,317 pounds of paper being shredded, according to the news release.

Through this continuing partnership with Paper Storm Secure Document Shredding, MMFCU helps to ensure the protection of financial information. Families are able to safely eliminate old personal documents no longer needed.

"We at MMFCU have a personal responsibility to take steps each day to ensure the financial security of our members by extending this service into their personal lives," said Chuck Albrecht, president/CEO, in the release. "We will continue to offer this service as a preventive measure for our members."

Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative serving central Minnesota. The credit union has 10 full-service branch locations in Aitkin, Alexandria, Baxter, Brainerd, Crosby, Detroit Lakes, Little Falls, Pequot Lakes, Twin Valley and Staples.
