The Highway 169/210 bridge replacement project over Sissabagamah Creek near Aitkin, which was set to begin the week of July 10, is postponed until late July due to utility relocation delays.

An update will be sent once rescheduled, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said in a news release.

Intermittent lane and shoulder closures will be necessary when crews construct temporary bypass lanes to carry traffic after the existing Highway 169/210 lanes are closed to replace the bridge.

Any questions about the project may be directed to MnDOT construction project manager Matt Indihar at 218-828-5737.

The Highway 169/210 bridge is located about 3 miles northeast of Aitkin. The $1.2 million project will replace the existing bridge with a double box culvert bridge that will accommodate a roadway with wider shoulders, improved overall drainage and an upgraded safety guardrail system, the release said.
